“I had the rare opportunity to personally visit Wat Chao Fa Sala Loi, which required a 10-hour journey. We stayed overnight and had heartfelt conversations with the monks.

They shared how their fathers and grandfathers had all been devoted luksits of Luang Phor Song, and that many of them had gone on to expand successful businesses in Bangkok after receiving his blessings.

The monks who remain in this quiet, sleepy town chose to do so not out of lack, but to seek refuge in the Buddha, the Sangha, and the Dhamma. Their reverence for Luang Phor Song was sincere, humble, and unwavering.”

Luang Phor Song Chantasaro – The Guardian Sage of Chumphon
Luang Phor Song (หลวงพ่อสงฆ์ จนฺทสโร) was a legendary monk and meditation master from Wat Chao Fa Sala Loi, nestled in Chumphon province.

Born in B.E. 2433 (1890) in Ban Winai Nuea, Sawi District, he passed away in B.E. 2526 (1983) at the venerable age of 93, having devoted 73 years to the monastic life. From a young age, he exhibited an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a profound love for reading and writing. His Dhamma name, Chantasaro, reflects his pure and bright conduct.

Known for his Vipassana practice, Luang Phor Song lived a life of incredible discipline—eating only once a day and completely detached from fame, wealth, or praise. His serene demeanor and deep meditative presence earned him the reverence of generations.

🔱 Top 3 Wiccha Masters in Thai History

Among the ranks of the most spiritually accomplished Thai monks, Luang Phor Song is regarded as one of the top three masters of Wiccha Arkom, alongside:

Luang Phor Suk of Wat Pak Klong Makhamtao

Luang Phor Ngern of Wat Bangklan

This trinity of Wiccha legends represents the highest standard of sacred arts, protective spells, and miracle-based amulets in Thailand’s spiritual heritage.

🕯️ Divine Connections & Sacred Lineage

Standing nearly 2 meters tall, Luang Phor Song was a towering figure both physically and spiritually. He is said to have inherited a relic fragment of Mae Nak’s skull—originally possessed by Somdej Archan Toh of Wat Rakang and passed through the lineage of Prince Chumphon. Much like Archan Toh, Luang Phor Song possessed the rare ability to contain Mae Nak’s spiritual essence, harnessing her power for protection and metaphysical purposes.

🌈 Miraculous Events & Naval Protection

Stories abound of the miraculous nature of his amulets. It is said that his Phra Kring amulet once sliced a rainbow in half—a phenomenon witnessed by devotees and attributed to his immense spiritual power.

His amulets are especially cherished by the Royal Thai Navy, with many high-ranking officers being his devout followers. This deep connection stems from Chumphon being a naval stronghold and the historic ties to Prince Chumphon, the Father of the Thai Navy.

💰 Wealth, Baramee & Wish-Granting

Luang Phor Song’s sacred items are renowned for their wish-fulfilling power, bringing about immense baramee (spiritual merit), wealth enhancement, and personal elevation in both spiritual and worldly affairs.

Traders, entrepreneurs, and seekers of abundance from across the country have venerated his images and chanted his katha for fortune and Metta Mahaniyom (loving-kindness & popularity).
