Luang Phor Reusi Lingdam – The Forest Sage Who Built a City of Merit
In the quiet forests of Uthai Thani, far from the noise of modern life, one monk became a legend not only for his deep meditative states—but for the sheer spiritual power that poured from his presence.
Luang Phor Reusi Lingdam, or formally Phra Ratchaphrommayan, was no ordinary monk. He was a visionary, a mystic, and a builder—not just of temples, but of lives.
Born on June 28, 1917, and departing this world on October 30, 1992, his physical body never decayed, remaining incorrupt and preserved at Wat Chantharam (Wat Tha Sung)—a symbol of his high spiritual attainment.
🐍 The Monk Who Could See the Invisible
In his forest retreats, Luang Phor Reusi Lingdam was known to have the rare ability to see naga stones and naga gems hidden in the wilderness. These weren’t ordinary stones, but sacred relics said to hold deep elemental and spiritual force.
In one account, he gifted a naga gem to Arjan Tau, a fellow forest monk who was also a disciple of Luang Phor Pinut of Wat Sanamlao. These three formed a sacred spiritual lineage, their wiccha (mystical knowledge) intricately intertwined and passed down through deep meditation, trust, and merit.
💰 Amulets That Brought Real Results
Among his most famous creations is the Phra Kham Khao (พระคำข้าว), also known as the Phra Maha Lap (Great Fortune Buddha).
Crafted from sacred white powders and herbs, and inspired by the image of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, it is widely known for:
Enhancing wealth and fortune
Unlocking opportunities in business and career
Increasing Metta Mahaniyom (charm and likability)
Creating rapid improvements in one’s luck and path
Even during Luang Phor’s lifetime, these amulets were in high demand. But after his passing, they became nearly priceless—held tightly by families who attribute their business empires and personal success to his blessings.
🛕 The Temple That Grew from Clay to Kingdom
Perhaps the clearest sign of his power isn't just in the amulets—it’s in the temple itself.
Wat Tha Sung, once a modest forest wat, expanded more than tenfold due to the immense gratitude of businessmen who struck gold after receiving Luang Phor’s blessings. They donated generously—land, buildings, and funds—allowing the temple to build:
A full school within the temple compound
A Dhamma library and learning center
A large-scale meditation hall
And resources to train young children in Buddhist values
What began as a forest hermitage is now a sanctuary of learning and merit-making. Even today, the 2nd and 3rd generations of these devotees continue to fund scholarships, construction, and charity projects, saying, “We’re just giving back to the root of our family’s good fortune.”
