Launching New Jadeite Collection

Launching New Jadeite Collection

My interest in gemstones and jadeite began many years ago. In 2020, I completed a certificate course in coloured gemstones and jade, but the demands of my other businesses meant that I had to set that aspiration aside for a time.

In 2025, a return to my ancestral home in Guangzhou reawakened my connection to my Chinese roots and culture. By then, I had also developed a deep appreciation for tea—both drinking and collecting fine teas and tea cakes. Whenever I pursue an interest, I believe in learning it properly: researching deeply, travelling, meeting the people behind the craft, and understanding the details that define true quality.

Over my many trips to China, I have visited 15 provinces and regions. Along the way, I met skilled jade carvers from Fujian, who generously introduced me to Sihui, Guangzhou—one of China’s most important jadeite jewellery centres. This opened the door for me to learn more closely about the journey of jadeite, from rough material to finished pieces, and to become involved in sourcing, selecting, and trading within China.

With time, patience, and the privilege of being able to invest in proper research, I have also curated and supervised the crafting of selected pieces. My focus is not simply on owning beautiful jadeite, but on understanding its colour, translucency, texture, carving, workmanship, and overall character—so that I can offer pieces I would be personally proud to wear, collect, or gift.

The jadeite market can be difficult for buyers to navigate. Prices and quality can vary widely, and it is not always easy to know what one is truly paying for. My intention is to be a reliable bridge: to share carefully selected jadeite at fair and transparent value, without unnecessary mark-ups or exaggerated promises.

Coming from a Thai amulet background, I have also reflected carefully on how spiritual and auspicious meanings should be communicated. I once discussed the idea of temple blessings with my Feng Shui master, Master Alex of The Meta Services Pte Ltd. His advice was clear: it is not right to use promises of wealth, luck, or spiritual power simply to increase a product’s price. We should earn fairly and let sincerity guide our work.

That conversation stayed with me. I believe jadeite should first be appreciated for its natural beauty, craftsmanship, cultural meaning, and the values it represents. A piece may serve as a meaningful reminder of one’s loved ones, one’s roots, or the qualities we hope to cultivate in life. For pieces featuring deities or auspicious imagery, they can be a gentle reminder to practise the teachings they represent—with sincerity, wisdom, resilience, and compassion.

Ultimately, we create our own progress through our actions, character, and perseverance. If these pieces can bring a little beauty, confidence, grounding, or inspiration to their owners as they navigate business, career, studies, family, and life’s challenges, that is already something meaningful.

I am pleased to present a small selection of jadeite pieces that I have personally chosen and curated for our friends at OOB Amulets. Thank you for your support, and I hope you will enjoy these pieces as much as I have enjoyed the journey of finding them.
