History of Luang Por Prom of Wat Khanon Nuea & Luang Por Eia of Wat Ban Dan

Luang Por Prom of Wat Khanon Nuea, Ayutthaya Province, and Luang Por Eia of Wat Ban Dan, Prachin Buri Province

The two esteemed monks, Luang Por Prom and Luang Por Eia, shared a close friendship and deep respect for one another, as seen in a photo from the Buddha Abhiseka Ceremony of the Amulets in 1970.

Luang Por Eia, known for his calm and kind personality, was a man of few words. Despite being older, he held a special bond with Luang Por Prom, who frequently encouraged his disciples to pay their respects to Luang Por Eia. Luang Por Prom would say that Luang Por Eia was exceptionally skilled, a rare teacher whose knowledge and abilities were difficult to match. As a result, many of Luang Por Prom’s early disciples became familiar with Luang Por Eia and regarded him with high esteem.

Likewise, Luang Por Eia often recommended to his followers that they should honor Luang Por Prom, whom he praised as a truly skilled teacher in Ayutthaya. He encouraged his own disciples to visit Luang Por Prom when they had the chance, as he knew his friend’s teachings would greatly benefit them.
