Kru Pu Poo Ong (Bo Bo Ong) (Bobo Aung)
The Sacred Legacy of Burmese Faith and Alchemy

This sacred figure represents the deep faith and spiritual devotion of the Burmese people.

Mae Kru Pu Poo Ong is a highly revered figure among the Burmese, regarded with the utmost respect and devotion.

Passed down through generations, the legend of Pu Poo Ong speaks of a Tai Yai (Shan) master who was one of the greatest practitioners of ancient Burmese alchemy.

He possessed miraculous powers: the ability to fly, to walk on air, and to utter words imbued with spiritual authority.

A solitary figure, he followed the path of the Bodhisattva and was known as one of the ten grandmasters of the Pathama Sith lineage — the Red Medicine Alchemy — a sacred science dating back to the golden Mon kingdom, long before Burma came into being.

The term "Burma" itself only came into use during the reign of King Tabinshwehti, who unified the lands into the Burma we know today.

Pu Poo Ong is recognized as one of the root teachers, passing his knowledge down to subsequent generations of masters.

He mastered the Four Elements — Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire — and wielded absolute control over them. (NaMaPaTa)

He was a divine figure greatly revered by King Bayinnaung, one of Burma's most powerful monarchs.

King Bayinnaung's royal throne, from which he commanded and governed, was flanked on either side by carvings of the Golden Bumblebee (Paya Ma Lang Phu Kham).

These sacred symbols were crafted and empowered under the guidance of Pu Poo Ong himself.

The throne was embedded with eight pairs of Golden Bumblebee carvings, guardians meant to watch over the king.

Before any military campaign, Bayinnaung would sit upon this throne to command his forces, and with these blessings, he achieved victories across all ten directions.

It is said that the tradition of Golden Bumblebee carvings revered today originates from Pu Poo Ong's sacred works.

In Burmese legend, Pu Poo Ong was not only a master alchemist but also a teacher to the great Maha Osa Tha, who became the spiritual advisor to King Bayinnaung and King Naresuan of Siam (Thailand).

Through these connections, the sacred arts of creating prayer beads and the Jindamanee elixir medicine were spread to both Burma and Thailand.

According to tradition, Pu Poo Ong was entrusted with a golden scripture, an ancient grimoire of magical knowledge etched on gold sheets.

Through years of wandering, practicing, and mastering this sacred knowledge, he reached the highest levels of spiritual and alchemical attainment.

Legends say that he traveled as far as India (Jambudvipa) in his quest for wisdom.

Eventually, he achieved the ultimate spiritual mastery: entering into the advanced states of jhana and perfecting the Philosopher’s Stone (Parot Thatu) alchemy, which granted him immortality.

He became ageless, deathless, and possessed miraculous powers, achieving the highest levels of enlightenment.

After attaining such mastery, Pu Poo Ong is said to have withdrawn from the visible world.

He remains in an immortal body atop Mount Popa, invisible to ordinary human eyes, residing in a parallel spiritual dimension.
Only those who cultivate deep meditation (achieving the fourth jhana), possess pure morality, unwavering truthfulness, and sincere loving-kindness can hope to perceive him.

Those who consistently dedicate prayers to him, maintain purity of heart and mind, and practice daily virtue are believed to draw closer to him, receiving blessings in fortune, protection, and success.

The miracles and sacred deeds of Borom Kru Pu Poo Ong continue to inspire faith to this very day.

His legacy endures through sacred statues like this, serving as beacons of spiritual power, hope, and divine favor for all who seek his unseen protection and wisdom.
