Arjan Wara Wat Pho Tong

Arjan Wara Wat Pho Tong

Bio of the Master

Arjan Wara (Luang Phor Wara Punyavaro), also known as Phra Khru Wisit Phitthayakhom, is the abbot of Wat Pho Thong, Bangmod, Bangkok. Born in 1961 to a Muslim father and Buddhist mother, he grew up between two faiths. In 1985 he ordained at Wat Pho Thong after vowing during a great flood to dedicate his life if his family was spared. After ordination, he trained widely—traveling on tudong across Thailand, studying meditation, astrology, and protective wicha with senior masters. He is known as a developer monk who built facilities for his community and a teacher sought by both common people and leaders. His amulet work became especially associated with the Garuda (Phra Krut).

What and Who is Phra Krut (Garuda)

Garuda, or Phra Krut in Thai, is the king of birds from ancient Indian and Buddhist tradition. In Hindu lore he is the vehicle of Vishnu. In Thailand he is a royal symbol of the state, representing power, legitimacy, and protection. Spiritually, Garuda embodies authority over chaos, courage to face obstacles, and strength to rise above challenges. Amulets bearing Garuda are worn for protection, leadership, and prosperity, especially for those in business, politics, or positions of responsibility.

Blessings and Experiences

Arjan Wara’s Garuda amulets are blessed for protection from dangers, authority in speech and action, respect from peers, and prosperity in career or trade. They are used by government officials, police, soldiers, and business people. Many report improved standing, smoother negotiations, and protection in risky work. The amulets are also carried for confidence in leadership roles and to attract opportunities.

Other Information

The first inspiration for Arjan Wara’s Garuda came from a vision of two ancient wooden Garuda figures kept in Wat Pho Thong. Later, with royal permission, he created Garuda amulets for palace officials, military, and police. His work includes both traditional cast and powder amulets.
